Pit Parents:
It takes between 6-10 people to set-up the sidelines at football games. A few have done every single show, (not naming names). We would like to invite some fresh faces for this Friday, so those that those parents can watch at least one game from the stands. Go to this link to lend a hand!

and last...Amy Bryce (PHN Bands official photographer) intends to take section pictures after Thursday's practice. Have your section coordinate alike as they did last year for the pic!!

This is a great event that is allows our drumline to interact with the phenomenal talent of the MSU Drumline and several other high schools in Michigan. Go here for event details.
For our Drumline, student cost is $10 to cover lunch and fuel, and bring money for McDonalds dinner following the event. This is a very full day and all students report having a blast!! Mark your calendar for October 25th. Travel permit forthcoming, watch phnband.org

Even though our band performs last at Festival, you may want to get to the
Memorial Stadium early to get a good seat.
Bonus, you will also get to enjoy the other wonderful performers from our area.
Look for a parent offering Roses to our band families. We are handing roses to our families to toss on the field from the lower rows so they make it over the wall.
Remember to throw the roses after the 3rd song in our show.
Student instructions as per TWIB today:
MB Festival
Eat dinner before you arrive at PHN in full uniform at 5:00 PM
Make sure you are picked up at Memorial stadium at approximately 9 PM
You will get a small snack and drink there
Parents: purchase tickets from us, we get to keep $$ (yay!)
If you purchase tickets at gate, $ $goes to MSBOA (boo!)

We are still in need of a few more helping hands at the Football game tomorrow. Check out this link to help out.
If you, as a parent are joining the band at Halloweekends (Cedar Pointe) this Saturday, will you please respond to one or more of these sign-ups?
Would you be willing to assist with set-up, makeup, clean-up after the parade so everyone can back into the park quickly?

Would you please sign-up in a slot so we know who is attending. (the travel permits do not collect this information). Also if we need to reach you for any reason, we will know for sure who we are reaching out to (mom/dad). Please include your Cell # as well.
If you are driving, would you be willing to take a student or two in your vehicle just in case we run out of seats on the bus? (We are able to pay your gas if we need your help)

and....while you are enjoying the park, would you be willing to allow our bus driver use your car to transport all the drivers to the hotel so they can get some shut eye.
Finally we are down to our last item ALMA College Guests/Clinic/performance. Alma is generously donating their day to our kids. So we will need to feed them. We are hoping our families can donate food to the fantastic menu Jennifer Fraley has put together.
I know we have a great deal going on this weekend...aren't our kids so very fortunate to have opportunities like this? Please consider lending a hand, your time, some food, a ride and you will be repaid double fold by meeting some great band parents and experiencing first hand all the exceptional students we have in our organization.
We need all hands on desk for this weekend.

This week for Parents:
Practice tomorrow 6-9, most sections will meet prior to practice time.
Game #2 This Thursday -
Summer uniform: Band Polos, Black shoes, black socks, black pants (not jeans or leggings); guard in vests
- 4:45 Arrival at Memorial stadium - Eat before you arrive
- 5:00 PM Gather in Sections
- 5:15 PM Meet on practice field
- 6:30 PM March to stadium
- 6:45 PM Pregame begins Watch game, perform. Leave only for bathroom. Parents: please do not bring food or drinks to students. Students do not leave stands to purchase food or drinks. As stated in rehearsals, and as stated in handouts and as stated above, students should eat beforehand; a snack and drink will be provided
- Approximately 9:15 PM Game end.
Just like the football team and the cheerleaders, students may not leave until game ends. Student may not leave until they help load or see their large equipment loaded onto the equipment truck. Students may *not* leave their instruments for others to take care of.
The band usually goes to Casey's afterwards for Pizza buffet. Please bring $8 for pizza buffet then a couple of dollars for a tip.

Everyone is receiving this email even if you have already picked up your uniform. We want to make sure no one misses this email.
If you do not have your uniform yet...your last chance is this Tuesday at 4:30pm, before the Tuesday practice. The pick-up process is 2 step. Make sure after you have your uniform in hand that you go to the check-out line and sign the form that you are taking your uniform. This may take some time and it is possible that you could be late to your sectional practice. Please alert your sectional leader if you have to pick-up your uniform.
1st Football Game:
The first game is this Thursday at Memorial Stadium. If you have offered to donate food or volunteered to help at the game, go to the north gate. Only those that volunteer will be allowed to enter at this gate. If you have food, someone will be available to take your food at the gate. If you plan to see the game you can purchase a ticket at the main gate. If you want to confirm what you offered to help with you can access the charm link here.

Apparel:
The Charms site has pictures of the apparel items.
When using Charms remember to use phnbands as the school code. If you order online there are two ways to pay.Paypal through Charms or with a check in the band box. If you want to pay by check using the Charms store, this is the way to do it. Print the order form and place in envelope with the form and drop in the band box.
Patti Bundy will be picking up order after the Thursday practice. If you order after that date, your order will arrive for the 2nd football game.

Chris Kercher will be at practice today to pass out Little Caesars pizza kit orders.
All orders and money will be due September 1st, 2015
Delivery/pickup will be on September 10th from 4 to 7 the scene shop
Please include Students full name on all order forms...this is very IMPORTANT! Proper credit cannot be applied without this information.
Band Camp clean-up will be today...anyone available today would be appreciated.
We will be cleaning coolers, putting away items unloaded from camp, and get the storage cage back in order for Football season. Clean-up time will be during practice. Volunteer at this link
